Zhongke Green Energy | Participant in the formulation of landscape lighting point light source standards!

On November 19th, the first group standard discussion meeting on the "Technical Specification for Landscape Lighting LED Point Light Sources" was successfully held. Tianjin University Architectural Design and Planning Research Institute, Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute, Shanghai Architectural Design Institute Research Institute, Beijing Qingkong Residential Optoelectronics Research Institute, Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Dongliang International Lighting Design (Beijing) Center Co., Ltd., Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School, Hunan Normal University Regional Planning and Environmental Design Center, China Xinxing Building Engineering Co., Ltd. and other planning, design and research units, More than 60 representatives from engineering companies and enterprises including Zhongke Green Energy attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Zeng Xiaolan, President of the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association.

Landscape lighting combines cultural and artistic experiences with functional lighting, gradually becoming a trend in the development of urban lighting. In 2019, the scale of China's LED landscape lighting market reached 100.320 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.01%. LED point source lighting products have become the main force in landscape lighting due to their small size, light weight, and diverse features. However, due to the lack of relevant standards, it is difficult to form a unified product quality and installation specifications in the industry. Zhang Fengbin, General Manager of Aiclite, stated that the industry urgently needs relevant standards to plan and promote industry development.

In order to make the standard more standardized and rigorous, the seminar solicited opinions from the attending guests on the standard name and discussed the naming of this standard. The participants unanimously agreed that the name is defined as the "Technical Specification for Landscape Lighting LED Point Light Sources", which focuses more on the product level of point light sources and does not conduct research on the part of point light source systems.

The drafting unit of the group standard "Technical Specification for LED Point Light Sources for Landscape Lighting", responsible for the interpretation of the initial draft of the standard by the relevant person from Eclaite, is responsible for the terminology, definition, classification, technical requirements, testing requirements, and other aspects related to point light sources.

During the discussion, experts and business representatives expressed their opinions and concluded as follows:

1. Name the different classifications of LED point light sources and establish rules to adapt to the development of technology and products.

2. The definition of various terms needs to be further refined and rigorous.

3. The Standards Committee needs to clarify the audience group and further refine the standards based on the characteristics of different audience groups.

4. The standard requires a distinction between fixed point light sources and digital lighting fixtures.

5. The definitions of terms such as LED point light source, color temperature, and color rendering index still need further consideration.

6. The standard requires wiring specifications for signal and power lines.

7. The standard should consider how to help users better apply point lights and add content in this regard.

8. Do not treat point light sources as a single lamp, but rather as a whole system for standardization and definition.

LED point light sources have a wide range of application scenarios, covering a wide range of planning, design, engineering, and product companies' industrial chains. The Standards Committee will adopt a positive attitude, carefully listen to and coordinate everyone's opinions. The second discussion on accounting is scheduled to be held in mid December.
